Cold Moon was created in 2024 by Casey Hosch and the amazing crew of people that were previously working at Sol Tribe. Casey apprenticed under the late and great Alicia Cardenas, owner of Sol Tribe and Twisted Sol.
A Few Words From Casey
“AIicia is my mentor, friend, sister, mother, family, my everything... and we are total opposites. Our birthdays are almost exactly six months apart. Her studios always had sol/sun in the name and she loved warm weather and being in the sun and her beautiful skin would glow and thrive in all that sun! It really charged her battery. I am the opposite. I like things grey and gloomy and dark and have more of a connection to the moon, so this shop is in my own way, a tribute to her. I saw her and I as a yin-yang, completing the circle as a team. And then Alyssa came along and filled the space that we didn’t know needed filling and what a trifecta! Talk about a bad-ass group of women running a small business community. Losing them both has been so hard and I really hope they are proud of what we are doing here. Understanding that this takes a village, I am recreating that trifecta with myself and Emily and Chloe as far as the management of the business goes. I couldn’t do this without the whole crew (Paul, J, Andrea and Efren,) but especially these two women. I am so lucky that Chloe and Emily want to be on this team.
Alicia and I both learned so much from each other in the 12 years that I got to spend with her, especially me from her. So the only option I saw after a few years of grieving, was to open a studio and do my best to keep our vision alive. She taught me so much and gave me the life that I always wanted. I opened Cold Moon to be a place of acceptance and understanding, a place of encouragement and education, a place of safety and body autonomy, a place of family and community and of course, body mods! WE LOVE TATTOOS AND PIERCINGS and believe that expressing yourself by controlling your own body is life saving! I want to be in an environment that people want to be in. Hope you like it Denver!”
